     “Imagine there’s no heaven. It’s easy if you try. No hell below us, above us, only sky. Imagine all the people living for today.” Sadly these words are he lyrics to one of the most popular songs of its day. John Lennon did not believe in a literal heaven and hell. He actually believed the belief in these two places was the center of the problems of this world. He did not believe in the One True Lord God Almighty.

      The reality is for the unsaved is that their life on this earth is as good as their life will be. But for the saved our life on this earth is as bad as it is going to get. Why, the reality of heaven and hell.

“Heaven” is seen in 551 * “Heavens” is seen in 127 verses

“Heavenly” is seen in 22 verses * “Hell” is seen in 54 verses

God is in heaven (Gen 21:17, 22:11)

·       Job 22:12 Is not God in the height of heaven? and behold the height of the stars, how high they are!

·       Ps 11:4 ¶ The LORD is in his holy temple, the LORD'S throne is in heaven: his eyes behold, his eyelids try, the children of men.

Jer 33:22 The host of heaven that can not be numbered

·       I believe the hosts of heaven are the angels of God

1Kings 8:27 There is Heaven and heavens within the Heaven

·       2Co 12:2-4 Today paradise is in the third heaven.

Heaven has a gate, windows, doors, and places.

Gen 28:12, 17 the angels of God ascend and descend from heaven through the gate of heaven. (John 10:7)

Gen 7:11 ¶ In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened. (Ps 78:23)

Ps 78:23 Though he had commanded the clouds from above, and opened the doors of heaven, (Rev 4:1)

2Cor 5:8 We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.
