Hebrews 6 Part 1

V1a Why therefore V5:10-14 The writer is going to teach some strong meat to these Christian Hebrews.

V1b The principles of the doctrine of Christ: (John 3:7, 15-18, 36, 1John 5:11) V1-2 The principles of foundation of repentance . . . of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment. Have already been laid through teaching

V3 If God permitted It was time for these Christians to go on unto perfection.. They are ready for some heavy doctrine.

Hebrews Chapter 6 begins some heavy doctrinal teaching that is not for babes in Christ.

Blasphemy against the Holy Ghost

Mathew 12:31-32 Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men. (32) And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come

Mark 3:28-29 Verily I say unto you, All sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of men, and blasphemies wherewith soever they shall blaspheme: (29) But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation:

Similarity Between The Two Portions of Scripture

Both use the term Holy Ghost (not Spirit). 1John 5:7 declared the Godhead. The name Holy Ghost declared the deity of the Spirit. The Holy Ghost is one with the Father and the Word. When one blasphemes against the Holy Ghost he is Blaspheming against God Himself.

In Matthew Son of man (not Son of God) is used showing the humanity on the man Christ Jesus. B

Similarity Between The Two Portions of Scripture

In Matthew Son of man (not Son of God) is used showing the humanity on the man Christ Jesus. Blasphemy against the Son of God would be blasphemy against God Himself.

Difference Between The Two Portions of Scripture

In Matthew there is no hope of ever being forgiven for blasphemy against the Holy Ghost.

In Mark the phrase but is in danger of offer a glimmer of hope to be spared from eternal damnation.

What Makes The Difference Between The Two Portions of Scripture

Matthew

Mt 10:7 Primarily teaches about the coming Kingdom of Heaven, a physical kingdom that begins when the Son of God is sitting sits upon his throne on the earth. (beginning with the 1000 year reign of Christ and continuing through out eternity when the Son of God reigns a the Lamb.

· This physical kingdom will be entered physically.

· The kingdom of heaven is first and foremost for Israel.

· The gospel of this kingdom is Mat 24:13-14 and will be preached after the church is removed from the earth.

Mark

Mark, Luke, and John teach about the then coming kingdom of God. This kingdom is a spiritual kingdom.

· Lu 17:21 Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you. Mt 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

· The kingdom of God is entered spiritually

The kingdom of God has come and is a spiritual kingdom that is in everyone who has accepted Christ as their Savior because they are indwelled by Christ, the Father and the Spirit

· The kingdom of God is a Church age kingdom offered through God’s Gospel of Grace Based upon the principles of the doctrine of Christ listed in Hebrews 6:1-2.

· Before and after the church age of God’s Gospel of Grace it will be impossible for anyone who blasphemes against the Holy Ghost to enter the kingdom of heaven.

Mr 1:15 And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.

The kingdom of God is for anyone who can claim:

· Rom 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

Today a person hath never forgiveness if he has never accepts Christ as his savior because he grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men. (Titus 2:11)

Under God’s gospel of grace there is always hope for forgiveness of all sin, even blaspheme against the Holy Ghost, and escaping eternal damnation.
