V32:9 Great men are not always wise: neither do the aged understand judgment.

V32:18-19 Elihu had so much to say for them to hear that he was about to burst. He just could not hold back any more. 

V32:21 Elihu was not just speaking at Job but also the other three whom he had lost all respect for. He was not going to be despised (disesteem, disrespect, consider unimportant) by these men even though he was much younger.

·       He was not going give these men the respect their age and position usually demanded. He was not going to call them Mister or Sir because he felt he was their better. They were “despised” by Elihu.

·       He was going to talk plainly to these men, especially Job.

V33:6a; V36:2,4 Behold, I am according to thy wish in God's stead. . . .; Speaking on behalf of God; with perfect knowledge

Chapter 32:1 Job’s complete denial of the accusations made by Eliphaz, Bildad and Zophar along with his increasing claim of his self-righteousness led to them to give up their attempt to persuade Job that he was guilty of some great sin or sins that caused God to pour out his judgment upon him.

V32:2 his wrath was kindled against Job because he felt Job justified himself rather than God. This was a direct response to Job’s parable that was actually about his claim to guiltlessness before God and his more adamant belief that God acted without cause. Eluhu understood that Job believed he was right and God was wrong.

V32:3 Elihu’s wrath was also kindled against the other three because they were unable to persuade Job and even though they had no answer to Job’s words they still condemned him. Their condemnation of Job was not proven by their results.
