Job Throughout The Bible 1

If I am right the Job was written before Moses wrote Genesis. The author may have been Job himself or possibly Elihu, the youngest of the four men, the last to speak before the LORD. He may have been recording what was said.

If Job was written before Genesis many of the things recorded in Bible were first mentioned in Job.

Job 5:13 –

·       1 Cor 3:19  For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness.

Job 5:17 – Ps 94:12; Heb 12:5-6

·       Ps 94:12 ¶ Blessed is the man whom thou chastenest, O LORD, and teachest him out of thy law;

·       Heb 12:5-6

Job 16:9-11 – The likeness of the suffering of Christ

·       Ps 22:13 They gaped upon me with their mouths, as a ravening and a roaring lion. Ps 22:13; 35:21

·       Ps 35:21 Yea, they opened their mouth wide against me, and said, Aha, aha, our eye hath seen it.

19:25-27The resurrection of the dead is first recorded in Job

·       Ps 17:15 As for me, I will behold thy face in righteousness: I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with thy likeness.

Job 9:8  Spreadeth out, stretchest out heavens

·       Ps 104:2 Who coverest thyself with light as with a garment: who stretchest out the heavens like a curtain:

·       Isa 40:22 It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in:

·       Rev 6:14 And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.

Ge 7:6 And Noah was six hundred years old when the flood of waters was upon the earth.
